The scientists were raised from birth to discover alien life. Thousands of hours were spent training small children to use delicate instruments, telescopes and rocket engines. They were never let out of the research rooms. These children were born for the sole purpose of searching the cosmos.

They were raised as if they were astronauts, with millions of dollars spent on pressurized baby suits, water tanks, and jet planes for anti gravity simulations. The most renowned experts in language were brought in from all over the world, teaching the children how to communicate with creatures using an unknown language. No expense was left out.

These children soon grew to become the most outstanding scientists the world has ever seen. From inside their labs, the scientists published many papers on the long term effects of anti-gravity, as well as some papers on newly discovered planets. These scientists were truly the smartest people on Earth.

Then, after 35 years, one of them made a discovery. The people of the world were brought in for the most important event in human history. The man who started the alien life program stepped forward proudly to receive the news. The leader of the scientists stood up.

“We have discovered alien life.”

Three billion people stood up and cheered, only to be silenced for the next sentence.

“We have discovered alien life, and it’s landed here on Earth.”

Three billion people held their breath. The lead scientist signaled to the back of the room.

“Will you bring it in?”

The very large alien stepped into the room. It made heavy steps as its large eyes darted around the room. The man responsible for the program tilted his head in shame, and covered his face, so as not to be seen by the cameras. He left the room, more shamed than he had ever been.

The scientists decided it would be for the best if they led the alien out of the room, but not before the alien belted out a large “moo” for the cameras.

Hello I am from the :iconthecritiquables: You had an interesting blend of vague and being descriptive at the same time, a thing that I find myself having the most trouble with. I enjoyed reading this piece of artistic work a lot more than I thought I was. I don't really understand how they will be able to be taught to understand some unknown language from space, but ok. I also liked how you played the illusion of this "alien" cow card to the end, not revealing the truth until it made the moo sound.
